Work & Receive

WORK & RECEIVE PROGRAMME

Background and Inspiration

—  The Work & Receive program began in May 2015

—  The motivation has been to demonstrate Gods love and share the gospel through the work we do.

Why is it called “work & receive?”

Sharing God’s Love

—  As part of our ministry, we provide lunch to the beneficiaries

—  The Rector uses the opportunity to share Gods word and minister

—  We also take the opportunity to listen to the beneficiaries’ stories and get to understand the difficulties they and others are facing

—  We share their burdens and counsel with them

An overview

The programme has proved to be a powerful evangelism tool that has shown the world that Avondale parish and indeed the Anglican Church is a loving and caring ministry.  We pray that as our beneficiaries experience the love of God and as they are nourished physically and spiritually, their testimonies will bring many more to a love and understanding of Gods saving grace.
